Notable: The name labradorite comes from where it was found: the Labrador Peninsula of Canada. It was found around 1770 and is known by Canadian Eskimos as a stone that contained the Norther Lights, most of which were released by a warrior who cleaved the stones with an ax and released them into the skies.

Labradorite is known for its characteristic optical phenomenon known as labradorascence which includes a stunning display of flashes and colors depending upon the angle of light refraction. Although the color of the stone is grey, this phenomenon causes it to transform into a variety of colors; usually green, blue, purple but also in oranges and yellows.

How to Clean:
ain or soapy water and a soft cloth. If using soap be sure to rinse thoroughly. While it is durable this stone is fairly soft, therefore, care should be taken not to drop it and to store it in its own clean soft bag. Do not clean with ultrasonic or chemical cleaners and be sure to remove before exercise, sports, beach trips or bathing.

To recharge labradorite use the energy of a rainbow or the rain from a time when a rainbow it present.
