How to Clean:
Clean only with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid sudden temperature changes as these may cause the stone to fracture.

To cleanse and charge your emeralds simply wash in a basin of cool water, pat dry and leave under the light of the full moon.

Notable:
The name Emerald comes from the Greek word "smaragdus", meaning "green." The green coloring of emeralds comes from trace minerals including chromium and vanadium. Excellent quality emeralds are rare and far more valuable than diamonds of the same size. Emerald was said to be the favorite stone of Cleopatra and there are those that believe the Chalice of the Holy Grail was carved from emerald.
