To cleanse and recharge aventurine place it amongst foliage and leave it to recharge during daylight for the entire day. You may do this either in a garden or in a plant within your home.
Notable
Aventurine received its name around the seventeenth century. It comes from the Italian 'a ventura' which means randomly. This refers to the flecks of tiny mica platelets that occur randomly in the gem.
When this form of quartz comes from Brazil, its color may relate to a mixture of silicon dioxide with an inclusion of Dumortierite. Blue Aventurine from other locations relates to microcrystalline quartz with Crocidolite that has dissolved in quartz, along with rutile. Specimens with sparkles in them may also contain some type of mica.
Until the nineteenth century, Aventurine was called the “stone of the Amazons,” because the Brazilian deposits were believed to have supplied jewels and talismans for the Amazonian warriors.
